On Friday 6th March, the School Games Yr4-6 Swimming Gala was held at the UEA Sportspark. The event forms part of the School Games, which provides pupils the opportunity to represent their school in competitive sport. Pupils could compete in a maximum of two individual events and a relay each. For each year group, there were boys and girls races split across two heats. The gala consisted of the following events;
- 25m Front Crawl
- 25m Backstroke
- 25m Breaststroke
- 25m Butterfly (Year 5&6 Only)
- 4x25m Mixed Freestyle Relay (2 Boys & 2 Girls)
All children achieved really well in their individual events with many children coming in the top three. All relay teams worked excellently together preform to their best. In the relay, Year 4 came second, Year 5 came first and Year 6 came third. Well done to all who took part, it was an excellent afternoon of swimming.
