Due to the school closures as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government has announced that it will not publish any school educational performance data based on tests, assessments or exams for 2020 or 2021. Therefore, 2019 data remains in place.
The 2019 results portray a very positive picture, as results for both attainment and progress were above the national average.
In 2019, the school exceeded all KS2 targets for expected progress. The percentage of pupils achieving both the expected and the higher standard was above national in all subjects. The combined Reading, Writing and Maths results for both the Expected and Greater Depth levels were significantly above the national levels.
The school’s average attainment continues to be above national.
The percentage of pupils achieving the ‘Expected’ standard for Reading, Writing and Maths combined was 78% (national 65%.)
The percentage of pupils achieving the ‘high level of attainment’ for Reading, Writing and Maths combined was 22% (national 10%).
The percentage of pupils achieving the ‘Expected standard’ for Reading was 83% (national 73%).
The percentage of pupils attaining Greater Depth in Reading (45%) was well-above above the national attainment figure of 27%.
The percentage of pupils achieving the ‘Expected standard’ for Writing was 90% (national 78%).
The percentage of pupils achieving Greater Depth in Writing (22%) was above the national figure of 20%.
The percentage of pupils achieving the ‘Expected standard’ for Maths was 87% (national 79%)
The percentage of pupils achieving GDS in Maths (42%) significantly exceeded the national figure of 27%.
The percentage of pupils achieving the ‘Expected standard’ for Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling was 82% (national 65%)
For Grammar, Spelling & Punctuation (GSP), pupils achieved 45% Greater Depth against the national figure of 36%.
The school’s average scaled scores in tests show that performance continues to be above the national average.
- The average scaled score in Reading was 108 (national 104).
- The average scaled score in Maths was 107 (national 105).
- The average scaled score in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling was 108 (national 106).
Progress has improved in all subjects. Progress has improved every year in all subjects and is above national – Reading (top 5%), Writing (top 20%) and Maths (top 10%).
- Average progress in Reading between KS1 and KS2 was +4.9 (+1.3 2018)
- Average progress in Writing between KS1 and KS2 was +2.4 (-0.4 2018)
- Average progress in Maths between KS1 and KS2 was +3.3 (+2.7 2018) (national progress is zero)
